Tapantí-Macizo de la Muerte National Park Adventures

Established in 1982, Tapantí-Macizo de la Muerte National Park spans a rugged region in the central highlands of Costa Rica, primarily within the Cartago Province. The park encompasses an expansive area of cloud forest and rainforests that form part of the Talamanca Mountain Range, including steep slopes and deep river valleys. This region plays an important role in protecting the watersheds that supply life to the Orosi and Reventazón river basins.
